Pulled Pork courtesy of Gourmet Gorillas was a real hit last Saturday!
We were asked to provide for a surprise 60th birthday at the HDA Sports and Social club in Batchley, Redditch. What a great venue. The room had been well decorated with lots of 60th birthday balloons and we were front of the room serving hot pulled pork rolls with stuffing and apple sauce, chips and freshly made green salads and coleslaw.
The music was terrific and we had lots of compliments. Ian had been cooking the pork for hours and then spent almost as long pulling it apart and mixing with the gravy – so delicious.
We love these events, especially when the food meets with such a good reception, “the best we have ever had” is a phrase we love to hear.
We are still looking at adding dishes to our summer menus and also busy sampling. Aubergine with ricotta cheese and balsamic dressing is on todays sample menu. It is also the end of dry January, so we may well be accompanying this with a bottle of red! (not blackcurrant juice).
