Gourmet Gorillas were busy at the BBQ in Whittington, Worcester on Sunday.
The weather was glorious and the setting fabulous. We were at Whittington community Hall. This is a recent build and what a tremendous facility. It has an impressive green, sloping roof, a marvellous function room. The room looks out over fields, which were inhabited by three very friendly horses. The horses came right up to where the Gorillas were cooking.
We were catering for a christening. We cooked and prepared the food selection, of cheeseburgers and hot dogs with onions, together with chicken tikka and vegetable halloumi. As soon as we cook onions, we get appreciative glances. The chicken tikka is always really well received, so Ian put more on the BBQ, so guests could then enjoy seconds.
We also did a Hog Roast on the Saturday at Studley Village Hall, this was for a wedding. The Hog with apple sauce and stuffing went down very well, as did the chips. they were lovely and crisp, everyone came back for seconds!
